The messaging from Google Business Profile, like many other Google emails, is not very clear.
Here is an example of an email recently received regarding a Google Business Profile that has been active for many years and now Google has suspended it.
Your business “Google Business” profile has been suspended
COMPANY NAME, your Business Profile has been suspended due to policy violation.
Violation type
A Google Account associated with this Business Profile is not in good standing. Business Profiles associated with that account have been suspended.

After clicking the link to “suspension policy,” the link sends us to:
Google Account not in good standing
“If a Google Account is not in good standing (e.g. it is disabled, suspended, or deleted) a merchant must take steps to fix the issue before they can access their Google Business Profile.”
After this, it is one click after another. The process is not very user friendly.
Resolving issues with Google is often very challenging.
